QuickBooks launches, but opening the hosted company file returns a multi-user or file access error.
Recommended Resolution Path
- Verify the QuickBooks Database Server Manager service is running on the host.
- Check share and NTFS permissions separately for the user and service account.
- Confirm the file path is excluded from antivirus scanning on both server and client.
- Use QuickBooks File Doctor only after confirming the issue is not pure permissions.
