Scenario

A NAS UI reports disks as healthy while the storage pool or RAID remains degraded.

Recommended Resolution Path

  1. Separate disk SMART health from array membership and rebuild status.
  2. Look for a replaced disk not yet initialized into the array.
  3. Review controller logs for latent sector or timeout history.
  4. Do not trigger additional disk reseats until backups are confirmed.
