Users can open the app server when using its IP address, but the hostname fails.

Recommended Resolution Path

  1. Verify A and PTR records, local hosts overrides, and search suffixes.
  2. Check whether multiple records or stale scavenging data exist.
  3. Flush client and server DNS caches after changes.
  4. If the app depends on SPNs or certificates, align the hostname configuration accordingly.
