Router rebooted and static routes disappeared

Scenario

After a power event or manual reboot, traffic between sites fails because manually added routes are gone.

Recommended Resolution Path

1. Confirm the routes were saved to startup config, not only running config.
2. Export and version-control network configs after every approved change.
3. Validate route persistence during maintenance windows rather than after outages.
4. Where possible, replace fragile manual routes with dynamic routing or templated config management.
